Perth's Premier DJ Service

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23/07/2026

Certified Entertainment respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and in the course of providing our DJ, event management and promotion services, how we use it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct or complain about it. It applies to https://www.certifiedentertainment.com.au and to any enquiry or booking you make with us.

1. Who we are

Certified Entertainment is a DJ and entertainment company based in Perth, Western Australia. We provide wedding DJ hire, event DJ hire, bar and club DJ management, and event management and promotion, primarily across the greater Perth metropolitan area (approximately an 80km radius).

Our commitment to the Australian Privacy Principles

The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) apply to most Australian organisations. Businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less may qualify as a small business operator and may not be strictly bound by the Act. Regardless of whether that exemption applies to us, we have chosen to handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles, because that is the standard our clients are entitled to expect.

This policy is provided for general information. It is not legal advice.

2. What personal information we collect

Information you give us through the enquiry form

When you submit our online enquiry or contact form, we collect:

You do not have to give us this information, but without it we cannot quote on or plan your event.

Information you give us when you book

If you go ahead with a booking, we may also collect and hold:

Card payments are processed by a third party payment provider. We do not store your full card number on our systems. See section 5 for details.

Information we collect automatically

When you browse the website, we and our analytics providers may collect technical information such as your IP address, approximate location derived from that address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how long you spend on them, and the site or search that referred you.

Sensitive information

We do not seek sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act, such as health information or information about your race, religion or political views. Please do not send us sensitive information through the website. If you volunteer something of that nature in an enquiry, for example a dietary or accessibility note relevant to your event, we will treat it confidentially and use it only for that purpose.

Children

Our services are marketed to adults booking events. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

3. Cookies, analytics and tracking

What we use

Our website is built on Webflow and uses Google Tag Manager to manage measurement tags, and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors find and use the site. These tools set cookies and similar identifiers in your browser.

We use them to measure things like how many people visit, which pages and services are most popular, which marketing channels bring visitors to us, and where people drop off before making an enquiry. The reporting we see is aggregated. We do not use analytics to identify you personally.

Webflow and your browser may also set strictly necessary cookies that make the site work, for example to keep the site secure and to remember form state.

How to opt out or control cookies

Google's own handling of data collected through its products is described in the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

4. How we use your personal information

We use the personal information we collect to:

Direct marketing

We may occasionally contact past and prospective clients about our services, offers or events. Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop at any time by emailing info@certifiedentertainment.com.au. Opting out of marketing does not stop us sending messages that relate directly to a booking you have made. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade our contact lists.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is needed to deliver our services, run our business, or meet a legal obligation. That can include:

Technology sub-processors

The following providers process data on our behalf as part of running the website and our communications:

We only give these providers what they need for the service they perform, and we expect them to protect it.

6. Overseas disclosure

Some of the providers listed above are based overseas or store data on servers outside Australia. Webflow and Google are United States based companies and may store or process information in the United States and in other countries where they or their subcontractors operate.

By providing your personal information through this website, you acknowledge that it may be handled in this way. Where practical we choose providers that publish their own privacy commitments and use recognised safeguards for international transfers. If you would prefer to deal with us entirely by phone or email rather than through the website form, you are welcome to call us on 0447 067 509.

7. Storage, security and retention

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Those steps include serving the website over HTTPS, restricting access to enquiry and booking records to people who need it, using password protected and multi factor authenticated accounts, and relying on reputable providers with their own security controls.

No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and any information you send us online is sent at your own risk.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or for as long as the law requires.

When we no longer need personal information, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or to permanently de-identify it.

Data breaches

If we become aware of unauthorised access to or disclosure of personal information that is likely to result in serious harm, we will assess it promptly and, where the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme applies, notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

8. Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading.

To make a request, email info@certifiedentertainment.com.au with enough detail for us to identify you and locate the information. We may need to verify your identity before we act.

We aim to respond within 30 days. There is normally no charge, although we may pass on a reasonable cost for retrieving or copying a large volume of records, and we will tell you before we do. If we refuse a request in whole or in part, we will explain why in writing and tell you how to complain.

You can also ask us to delete personal information we hold about you. We will do so unless we are required to keep it, for example financial records we must retain by law or information needed for an ongoing booking or dispute.

9. How to make a complaint

Step 1: contact us

If you think we have mishandled your personal information or breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please tell us first. Email info@certifiedentertainment.com.au with Privacy complaint in the subject line, or call 0447 067 509 and ask to speak to the person responsible for privacy.

We will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it, and give you a written response within 30 days. If we need more time, we will let you know why.

Step 2: escalate to the OAIC

If you are not satisfied with our response, or we have not responded within 30 days, you can take your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC). A complaint to the OAIC must be made in writing.

These OAIC details were checked on 23/07/2026. If they have changed since, the current details are always published at https://www.oaic.gov.au/contact-us.

10. Enquiries from outside Australia

We are an Australian business serving the Perth metropolitan area, and this policy is written around Australian privacy law. If you contact us from the European Union or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) may give you additional rights, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in the EU or UK and want to exercise any of those rights, email info@certifiedentertainment.com.au and we will deal with your request in good faith.

11. Third party links

Our website may link to other sites, including venues, suppliers, social media profiles and music platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those sites. We recommend you read the privacy policy of any site you visit from ours.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our services, our technology or the law. The current version is always published on this page, and the Last updated date at the top tells you when it last changed. If we make a significant change to how we handle personal information, we will take reasonable steps to let affected clients know. Please check this page from time to time.
